    Agreed, I think you can pin that on the early entries to the nba draft. At least those guys have to come to college for a year now.

    That definitely put a dent in things. But overall the skill level has receded drastically. Much like you have pointed out even on our local level.

    i dont think the overall skill level has decreased in the ncaa as much as it is, there's not any one team who is "stacked"

    All the top teams used to be "stacked" though. The midrange jumper is a lost art it seems like. Look at the free throw percentages across the country. It speaks volumes in my opinion.

    that's what im sayin though, the teams all used to be stacked and the mid-majors and the bottoms of the big conferences used to struggle to find talent...now it seems like a whole bunch of schools are on the same playing field

    IMO it's because of the NCAA tournament and the number of teams that get in, that has helped lots of teams sell to families the opportunity to play in the big dance

    something that is becoming more of a monopoly in football because only 2 teams can play for the title
